The Society for Egyptian Pathologists in North America (SEPNA) is a registered non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO), established in 2024 in the United States.
SEPNA has no political affiliation. It serves as a platform to enhance the educational, research, and professional development of Egyptian pathologists and trainees in the USA and Canada.
As of August 2025, SEPNA has been officially partnered with the Egyptian Ministry of Health to establish joint educational and global health projects.
We envision a future where every Egyptian pathologist in North America has access to resources, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth, collaboration, and global health. We strive to create a vibrant network that empowers pathologists to make a meaningful impact in healthcare and beyond.
Our goals include, but are not limited to, facilitating mentorship of medical students interested in pathology, pathology residents and fellows, as well as new graduates; building collaborations among institutions in North America, Egypt, and other parts of the world; and providing a networking platform for the exchange of innovative ideas. In particular, we strive to:
Enhance the role of the pathologist in the provision of medical care
Advance pathology education of the medical community
Help pathology residents, fellows and medical students in their educational activities and search for jobs
Mentor medical students, residents, fellow and starting pathologists
Encourage the clinical application of research developments in the United States, Canada and Egypt
Promote collaboration between pathologists in the United States, Canada and Egypt
Exchange of innovative ideas
